Are ‘Cheat Days’ really a thing?

A popular topic that could use clarification: cheat days.

Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t about restricting yourself but rather finding balance and enjoying foods in moderation with healthy boundaries.

A proven fact: too much restriction sets the stage for overeating episodes.

A healthy lifestyle isn’t about deprivation or extremes; it’s about finding a sustainable approach that nourishes both your body and mind. Moderation is the key! 🗝️ By enjoying a wide variety of foods in appropriate portions, slowing down when eating, and stopping when you’re satisfied, not overfull, it’s possible to satisfy your cravings without jeopardizing your goals.

Here’s how:

1️⃣ Practice portion control and mindful eating.

2️⃣ Prioritize nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

3️⃣ Allow yourself occasional treats, enjoying them in moderation.

4️⃣ Find activities you love to move your body and stay active.

5️⃣ Eat regularly, approximately 3-5 hours between meals.

6️⃣ Take a deeper look at your responses to satiety and cravings by knowing your DNA.
