May always feels like momentum. With the nicer weather, more time outside, more movement.
It’s that point where the “reset” from spring starts turning into real habits.
And for a lot of people I talk to, this is also when underlying patterns start to become more noticeable… especially when it comes to blood sugar.
Which is why our focus this month is: Understanding Pre-Diabetes & Early Warning Signs
Pre-diabetes doesn’t show up overnight. And it rarely starts with obvious symptoms. Most people assume it’s something that “just happens later,” or only applies if labs are already flagged. But in reality, the body often gives early signals long before that.
Things like:
• energy crashes throughout the day
• strong sugar or carb cravings
• feeling shaky when meals are delayed
• increased hunger shortly after eating
• brain fog or difficulty focusing
These things are often early signs that blood sugar regulation may need support. And over time, if these signals are ignored, the body can become less efficient at managing glucose and insulin.
This is where pre-diabetes begins to develop.
This month, we’ll be talking about what defines pre-diabetes, what those early signals actually mean, and how to support your metabolism before it progresses further.
Because when you understand what your body is responding to, you can intervene much earlier.
Here Is A May Metabolism Tip For You:
One of the simplest ways to support blood sugar is how you build your meals.
Instead of focusing on cutting foods out, start with what you’re adding in.
Prioritize meals that include:
• protein
• fiber
• healthy fats
This combination helps slow down how quickly glucose enters the bloodstream, which can:
• reduce energy crashes
• decrease cravings
• improve insulin response
Even small shifts like adding protein to breakfast or balancing snacks can make a noticeable difference.

Looking Ahead This Month
This month I’m especially looking forward to:
• Spending more time outside and staying active
• Sharing more about blood sugar and early metabolic signals
• Helping more people catch patterns earlier instead of reacting later
If you’ve been noticing changes in your energy, cravings, or hunger patterns, it may be worth looking a little deeper.
That’s exactly what we do inside a free wellness strategy session.
We look at the bigger picture:
• labs
• blood sugar patterns
• lifestyle factors
• stress and sleep
Because when you understand what your body is signaling early, you can support it before bigger issues develop.
P.S. Pre-diabetes doesn’t usually start with a diagnosis. It starts with patterns. The earlier you recognize them, the easier they are to shift.
